Consciousness | Seva | Indic Wisdom
Ekam / एकम् is Sanskrit for the "One". We are a community in Austria inspired by the wisdom that there is One truth that shines in all of existence. We come together from all religions, backgrounds & nationalities to explore Consciousness and share the wisdom of ancient Indic traditions. We sing together (Kirtan) in the love of One and bring that warmth & understanding into action in everyday life through Seva (service).
Gatherings & Events
Our gatherings bring people together to explore Indic wisdom, share in satsang & kirtan and experience the warmth of community. We do small regular weekly gatherings and have begun large ones and look forward to creating more opportunities for meditation, reflection and share learning.
An Evening of Kirtan
On 2nd August, 2026 a Kirtan Festival at Sonnenstein-Loft Linz brought people together through devotional music, singing, dance and shared moments of reflection. With performances by Bada Haridas and the Kirtanias from Simhachalm Temple, the gathering welcomed people from different cultures and backgrounds in a spirit of peace and togetherness.A special part of the festival was dedicated to children, with painting and drawing activities and a Bhagavad Gita shloka recitation competition. Participants received certificates and prizes, celebrating their enthusiasm and efforts. Through such activities, we hope to give the younger generation opportunities to discover the wisdom, stories and values of Indian heritage. As they grow and build their lives in Austria, these experiences can help them remain connected to their roots and carry that cultural understanding into their own futures. The festival also offered Prasadam and opportunities for families and friends to meet, making it a celebration of community across generations.

Reflections
In this section, we explore the most profound scriptures from India in the light of Gurus who do not write commentaries born out of mere intellect but share the meaning of these profound texts as revealed in their hearts and minds after a long sadhana.
